Reviews and Ratings <br />
The Ocean Lodge is a unique find in St. Simons, offering a charming experience with a delightful rooftop bar and restaurant, although it was closed during my visit. The rooms were comfortable, and I appreciated the included breakfast; however, my stay was slightly marred by some issues with cleanliness and a lack of communication regarding the pool's closure. Overall, it's a memorable place, but be mindful of some high rates compared to the amenities offered.
The Ocean Lodge offers a delightful stay with comfortable suites and a charming atmosphere. The location is just a short walk to the beach, making it convenient for coastal activities. While the breakfast could use a bit more variety, the rooftop lounge provides stunning views. Overall, the experience was enjoyable, though there are a few areas that require improvement.
The hotel has beautifully appointed suites that are very comfortable and clean. The Mediterranean decor is charming, and I loved the spacious balconies for relaxing. Unfortunately, there were significant issues with service, including delays in check-in and maintenance problems in the room. While the proximity to the beach was a definite plus, the experience was marred by the lack of attention to detail.
Staying at Ocean Lodge was a mixed bag for me. The suites were spacious and reasonably comfortable, but they felt dated and the kitchen facilities were lacking. The service from the staff was commendable, especially considering the hiccups with the management changes. The location is excellent, just a block from the beach which was a real plus. However, the dining experience left much to be desired with limited options and some major issues during my visit.
My experience at the hotel was quite frustrating, particularly with hidden fees and disappointing service. The location near the beach was a plus, and the ambiance of the lodge was charming. Unfortunately, the lack of proper communication from the front desk and cleanliness issues in the rooms were significant drawbacks. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this hotel for families or those looking for a relaxing stay due to these shortcomings.
